Uncover those beautiful eyes
Eyelid surgery is right for you if you want to treat:
- Extra eyelid skin that hoods and hides your eyes
- Bags under your eyes
- Fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes
Eyelid surgery removes fatty deposits and excess tissue around the eyes as well as tightening the skin in the eye area.
Our patients are able to return to their normal activities within 7-10 days after their eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). Typically, all bruising and swelling will have subsided within two weeks.
Fortunately, eyelid surgery is not a very painful procedure. We can provide pain pills upon request, but these are usually not necessary. Following the procedure, most of our patients use cold compresses to treat any minor eyelid pain, as well as reduce swelling and bruising.
An upper eyelid lift can last for up to 5-7 years, while lower eyelid surgery often lasts for a lifetime. If you’ve had eyelid surgery and aging is still causing your upper eyelids to sag, you may want to consider a forehead lift, instead of another eyelid surgery.
