It is never pleasing to look in the mirror and discover a new line or wrinkle. BELOTERO® is one of our newest non-surgical dermal fillers here in Fresno, designed to treat various signs of aging that appear on your face throughout the years. Like other fillers, such as JUVÉDERM®, BELOTERO® is made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. The hyaluronic acid reacts with water in our skin to restore facial volume and stimulate the production of collagen.
What Can BELOTERO® Do for My Face?
BELOTERO® is used to turn back the hands of time and provide a more youthful appearance. It can treat moderate to severe signs of aging such as:
- Loss of facial volume
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Thinning lips
BELOTERO® can also be safely combined with other dermal fillers or BOTOX® to treat multiple areas throughout the face. During your consultation with Dr. Riolo, the two of you can determine an optimal treatment plan based on your goals and expectations.
Your BELOTERO® Treatment
When you come in for your Belotero treatment with Dr. Riolo, she will begin by identifying the injection sites. Because the results of BELOTERO® are almost immediate, you will be able to see the changes as Dr. Riolo administers the treatment throughout your face, working together to achieve your desired look.
Your treatment should take no longer than a half hour to complete, and typically will not require any downtime afterward.
Possible side effects are not serious, and include mild swelling, bruising, or redness, which should fade quickly. Remember, the results of your non-surgical filler are not permanent, although they have been shown to last for up to nine months. Once you notice your results begin to fade, you can come in for touch-up treatments to help maintain a youthful appearance.
